About the event
Lynette Two Bulls is a Citizen of the Oglala Lakota Nation and is of Northern Cheyenne descent. She is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Yellow Bird Life Ways Center located in Lame Deer, Montana, land of the Northern Cheyenne Nation. She has over 35 years of experience in both the profit and non profit sector. She is also a cultural consultant and works tirelessly to keep the knowledge of her elders alive through teaching and sharing of intergenerational knowledge, focusing on food sovereignty, youth leadership and facilitating youth to participate in history and healing from trauma through the Annual Fort Robinson Outbreak Spiritual 400 Mile Run which is now in its 28th year.
Another important aspect of Ms. Two Bulls’ work is advocacy for healing, health and wellness of women and children, and their connection to the land. She strongly believes women are the foundation of our Nations and the children are the future. She is a recipient of the First Peoples Fund Community Spirit Award and Seventh Generation Funds Firekeeper Award.
